Datejust 41 Blue Jubilee. The SS DJ41 is now an allocation piece . like the Sub, GMT, Daytona, SS Skydweller, etc. That fact alone will help it to maintain or raise in value. Specifically, the blue dial on jubilee is the most desirable DJ41 with the rhodium dial and Wimbledon dials next.
If you’re looking for a reason not to get it.I have a one-watch-per-brand rule. The datejust looks great, it’s a nice configuration but your collection will be very Rolex heavy by the time you add it and the explorer.
Some pros: Love the level of adjustment available with the micro adjust and the Easylink. SA originally took two links off but I found that to be a bit too tight. I put one back on and moved the microadjust to the tighter setting, perfect fit . The quintessential Rolex. Congratulations. I love my SS 36mm DateJust smooth bezel, on a Oyster bracelet. I vote you keep the Explorer, but for a slightly different reason. I like the DJ, but I think it looks best when proportioned smaller than the 41mm case size.
