Looks like it sat in a drawer unworn until then - the bezel is super-crisp (they often seem to wear smooth or get clumsily refinished) and the caseback seems barely to have seen a wrist, with all engraving still clear. With this model you’ll need to advance the hands to midnight and let the date jump, then turn the hands backwards until about 8:30 and then turn the hands forwards again to midnight and repeat until you get to the correct date.
