If you appreciate the style, there's no reason not to buy it, but the price should be significantly lower than the more classic case styles of the 1960s. This particular piece is very much an entry level . So with the reference number inside the caseback, you can consult the Omega Vintage Database (OVDB) to identify the model of the watch. Using this as an example: When entered on OVDB, a reference number of 135.007 (we ignore the -63 date stamp), will reveal this: Notes on the OVDB: The OVDB is only a guide. I am an absolutely rookie here, but a few months ago I bought my first Omega ever, a TV dial 1020 mouvement from 1979. I am no fan of square watches, but the oportunity presented and I bought it. Now I love it! It is a very reliable watch, discrete yet elegant, and it's size falls in my comfort zone (maybe 37 or 38 mm per side and rather thin).
The Omega Seamaster de Ville was a common presentation watch in the sixties, especially in the US. Many SMDV presentation watches can be found on eBay, sometimes featuring a custom dial in addition to the usual engraving on the back. Early SMDV models featuring only 'Seamaster' on the dial display the coat hanger 'S' in 'Seamaster'. Apr 23, 2020. Omega was “getting with the times” and Cosmic represented a radically different design philosophy compared to the traditional looking 50/60s Seamasters. The results speak for themselves. Finnish advertisement from 1969.

Value-wise, if the watch was in excellent condition it would be worth about 0 so it would not make sense if the intent is to resell. My suggestion would be to spend 0-0 with a local watchmaker, have it serviced including having the crystal and other parts as needed replaced and perhaps have the case conservatively refinished.
Their is a high tendency for Cartier, Tiffany, and Turler signed watches to be gold. Cartier almost all, Tiffany virtually all, and Turler much less. In the mid 1980s Tiffany's co-signed the dial of the steel Rolex they sold. I saw two examples whose original owner bought new at .
The Genève line was introduced in 1952 (some say '53), and, with the exception of the very low production Chronometres, sat at the top of OMEGA's model line of hand-wind watches throughout the 1950s. The cases featured elegantly chamfered lugs, and the indexes were made of gold.
It looks like a reference 168.045, cal family 750 (most probably 751 as it's a chronometer), late 1960s or early 1970s, with an integrated bracelet. I would imagine it has a 18k gold bezel and inner bracelet links. You can probably discover more info on your own if you google search the reference. Nice watch I must say.
