I'm in the market for my first Breitling and I really like the looks of the older Colt A17350 models as pictured. Is this a reliable watch? I found a couple posts on here saying it's a little heavy, but it sounds like it is a pretty decent watch overall. Here is my silver dial final generation Colt 41 before Breitling discontinued the series. I currently have it on a first gen rubber Hershey dive strap. However, I'm considering putting it on a leather strap soon. Anyone rocking a leather strap or even a Nato strap on their Colts? Post em here! SO is also thicker (15mm vs. 13.3mm) Water resistance (SuperOcean is 5,000ft and Colt is 1,650ft) And though I'm not 100% sure, I think the Colt may be a satin finish instead of the polished finish of the SuperOcean. Crisp, legible, and quite modern, the Colt may be chunky but its reasonable case size helps it to wear well on a variety of wrists. The Chronomat Colt Automatic 41 uses the ETA-based Breitling 17 movement (base, ETA 2824) with time and date, and a power reserve of around 40 hours. I've just purchased a Breitling Colt model no: A53035 I'm happy with it but wanted to change the leather strap to a stainless steel type. After reading through some forums I was led to believe that a 820A would fit. Having located one it was apparent that it would not fit as it had a 20mm lug width. My watch has an 18mm lug width. Very nice piece, definitely a good move by Breitling to bring back the Colt Auto. Since the watch head alone weighs about 96 grams, a leather or rubber strap will definitely make for a lighter package.
