Why is it that when I manually wind the minutes hand, the date changes at midnight. But when it runs mechanically, the date changes minutes after midnight? Is there a way without having the Rolex watchmaker open my GMT II, for me to adjust by (hand)? Got a brand new Submariner for Christmas and the date doesn't seem to advance at midnight. Tried setting the time to 6, setting it to the day before and slowly rotating the hands round to 12 and seeing if anything happens.
When I pull out to extend the crown further to the time position, and I turn it until I hit midnight, I can see the date is trying to change to the 30th, but then just gets stuck on the 29th.
