I'm looking to pull the trigger on the IWC Big Pilot 5009-01 ZF but wanted to ask the community if there have been any other contenders for the most accurate Big Pilot rep? I know that the 5009-01 ZF will need a strap change but I'm happy to do that, but I'm curious to look at alternative options. Just in time for Christmas 2021, I received my new Big Pilot from Lucy. The leather strap is not so good but you can replace that. The black Big Pilot’s hour hand is apparently a fraction of a mm shorter than gen. Otherwise everything else is spot on. Specifications. Mechanical movement Calibre 51111. Pellaton automatic winding system. 7-day power reserve when fully wound. Power reserve display. Date display. Central hacking seconds.
